This seems to solve the age old question of what to do with your pack when you're cozy in your hammock- or at least mine. Can be used as a pack cover on your back or hanging from your hammock. Can also be used as water storage or a water basin, not sure if I'd use it for these though. Anyone have any experience with this model?

I have one and used it for everything you mentioned. One of my favorite pieces of gear. Not the best pack cover in the world, especially in windy conditions. Great gear hammock and water basin, and lots of other things. Don't use it to sit on....or your water basin will leak eventually

Might even be a little bit or added insulation under the hammock?

I love mine and it works great. Sometimes it's hanging under the hammock and other times it's a pack cover overnight. Never used mine to carry water. I suppose you could rig it to cover your torso underneath but I've never tried it. I use the JRB Weathershield for that.
