I looking for recommendations for a bag for Bear bag hanging.
Last year a friend gave me a bag for my birthday. This thing is
bomb proof! It’s 10 liters with a nice big clear vinyl panel and
some kind of super heavy duty silon(?). It haven’t put it on my
scale but I know it will come in at just under a TON.
As luck would have it he stopped by the night before I left for
my last section hike. So as to not hurt his feeling I used it. I will
not be using to any more.
Right now, I have 4 days of food mostly Hawks Viddles and
Pack it gourmet loaded in this thing and it is a little less than half
full. I will be adding a pack of Tortillas and some snack food of some
kind.
My current plan is to put suppers in one zip lock with breakfast and lunch
in another and everything else in yet another. (ok so I’m little compulsive
about organization ;))
Please, no arguments about to or not to Bear bag. I’m going to, so I would
like to know what you folks that do hang your food use.
