Better to stock up on food for the first few days in Atlanta, N. Springs MARTA, or are the places to get stuff within walking distance of the hostel?

Josh has, in the past years, shuttled us down the road to a Walmart before our hike. I have stayed at the Hiker Hostel on all of my starts over the years and never had any problem getting to the store to stock up for all last minute stuff.
To answer your question....No...there are no places near the hiker hostel to walk to.....but as Swamp Dawg said.....Josh and Leigh are the best and will take good care of you! cheers, have a great hike.
As mentioned earlier...Walmart Dahlonega about 6 miles away. Closest beer is Cavender Corners Citco about 5 miles away.;)
