Has anyone been on the Overmountain Victory Trail from Hampton Creek Cove (near the town of Roan Mountain, TN) towards Yellow Gap this winter?

I haven't walked it lately. But from other years, its muddy, the blazes can drop here and there, and its popular hunting area.
Bear Paw walked it not too long ago and posted report on WB.
