How Accurate is the FiveMillionSteps Google Map?

I have used this interactive google.map to get an idea of different sections of the AT in the NE I have hiked. Seemed ok with some issues.

Anyone know how reliable it is for the entire trek? I know the trail changes year-to-year because of various reasons. Starting to look south for my trips this season.

Just looking for a heads up.
