I just bought an acrylic beanie for $1.07 at a .99 only store. I don't hear much about this material, but was wondering what are the pros/cons of this for the outdoors. Obvious advantage for me is cost.

Works about as good as a wool knit hat without the itch.

So this is a good addition to the sub $300 post. :)

Sure, make a $300 list and include the cap. I have seen some great deals lately in some outfitters, thought about another up to date list myself if I had time.

ghetto magic....who would have thought acrylic (and high loft at that) would be an outdoor component. Perhaps once my investments do their job I'll buy a merino wool cap :sun

For real, let me help this great forum out with a hidden outfitter that has the some of the best deals I've ever seen:

It's a provider for EMS, but wierdly enough they have some awesome deals on Ultralight clothing:

I just got a Montane Aero Wind Shirt for $56.80 with shipping. That's WAY BELOW the average cost.

Help a great business out. :sun
