REI Ultralight Jacket experiences?

Anyone own an REI Ultralight jacket (I think it was formerly called the REI Element jacket)? I picked up one really cheap at a local REI attic sale, and the tag says it is breathable, but the liner inside made me think that it wouldn't be. I had previously been considering a Mtn. Hardware Epic Jacket and pants, but for the price I couldn't pass the deal up. I'm just wondering if I'll sweat to death in it. I'm also wondering if it would make for a decent outer layer or not.

The pit zips will help alleviate most of the sweating in this jacket. I had one for awhile but I've recently switched to a rain poncho instead. It's a great jacket and one of the best selling rainwear items at REI.
