GA section weather

When is the best time of year for a GA section hike? Not too cold, but not mosquito weather either and preferably dry. Would rather deal with mosquitoes before going in the rainy season to avoid the cold...

I'd do October or November. Gives you cool nights and most days will be great!

What is the trail like now- is there stilla lot of snow?

I had rain in the fall though. Would not categorize any time as "dry" for GA. If you want it dry, have to check the weather leading up to your hike.
