I got a bit winded just typing this response.

Okay, seriously, that is hard core. EVERY DAY? Given all the variables - weather conditions , injuries, logistics, etc. That's one dedicated SOB.

Damn. All marathons the were ran, too.

Impressive.

I thought it was interesting that he said the key was running a slow pace - his average time was 4:00 - a pretty respectable time for most average people.

Good grief. That's an incredible feat of physical and mental endurance.

Hmmmm, how would I top that? If I were going to top it I would do all the marathons hopping on one leg, alternating between left leg and right leg each day.

As Lone Wolf might say,"it's only running. What's the big deal".

I'm missing something here. I have never seen a marathon race on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Where does he find these races?
or are they not really races?
The articles says: "He competed a race a day in seven countries: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S."
Even if you cross the date line, it only changes by 24 hours.

Beats me - the story was picked up by several mainline press organizations - google the guys name and you'll get plenty of info on him.

I don't know what this guy did, but others who have done something similar to what he did on Mon-Fri would run an actual marathon race course (not the actual marathon). (For example, the Atlanta marathon is held on Thanksgiving Day. The runner would run the course (not the actual race) on a week day in (for example) June). Sat and Sun they would run actual marathons.

Not sure if this tops the consecutive marathon record, but Monica is pretty damn impressive: http://www.thespec.com/sports/local/article/279560--running-and-running-and-running-and

I was at the race in November when she set the record. She's pretty awesome.
