Sorry, another cellphone question. Does anyone have experience with Tmobile on the AT, esp with a smartphone?

I had t-mobile and I couldnt even get a signal in my own house. And I lived right in the middle of one coverage areas. My brother couldn't get a T-mobile signal on blood mtn, but I could get a signal with my verizon phone.

Verizon is good on the AT.

Sprint did me good on the whole trail - very few spots I didn't get coverage. Even got coverage in the Whites.
Lots of problems I heard of with T-mobile, I never had them myself.

I'd say spotty coverage at best. I can't remember the exact spots I've had coverage but I recall having at one bar at every shelter in GA. Sometimes all I could do was text though. Not enough signal for much else.
Did you hear how Egypt cut off the country's cell and internet service?
They switched everybody to T-Mobile.
