Not that I want to encourage it because I don't want the competition, but I've hitched all over the A.T. for years. This year's 1st section is Amicalola to GA 75 near Hiawassee(leaving my truck here). Is the best hitch US 76 west and south to GA 52 east, or US 76 west to US 19 south to GA 52 east?
[Last year's hitches were Neel's Gap to Amicalola, 3 rides;I-40 to the NOC, 3 rides;Troutdale to Damascus, 4 rides;Pine Grove Furnace to Caledonia St Pk, 1 ride; North Adams to Kent, 4 rides; & North Adams to Hanover, 3 rides]
[This year's last hitch from Pinkham Notch to Hanover is a bit dicey--I'm thinking of hitching to Gorham, them US 2 west to US 5 south.Comments?]
