I'm planning a nobo in mid march by at least the 1st of april starting in GA. I'm 30 year old male looking to hike till the end.
I leave on April 2 get to gainesville on April 3 stay overnight in the hiker hostel then will take to US42 have to hike back to the trail about 09 mile no big deal.

Ediie: Most folks who start the Trail with a friend, buddy, roomate, etc., either don't finish or they don't finish with your friend. Your chances of completing the Trail with a hiking partner who is a complete stranger are also not so great. Don't sweat this "partner" thing......there will be lots and lots of other people out there when you start and you'll certainly meet people you like who hike at your pace. Don't worry about starting the trip "alone"......there are plenty of good people out there and you'll meen some from Day One.

Thanx jack as I read more threads I've realized that going the distance sounds more rewarding on my own.
