Anyone have any suggestions on dry bag sizes for extra protection for a down sleeping bag, my bag is a Stoic Vamp 15 degree Down Long. Thanks

Make it an easy fit in the bottom of your pack if possible; L x D = inside of pack

I usually size up from the supplied sack.
I like to stuff my down bags a little loose. Easier to put away, less compression on the insulation and it rides in the pack better than it does if it's a hard ball.

use a plastic bag to line your pack and stuff the down bag into the bottom of the pack without an extra dry bag - in other words I agree with pops c

roll the top of the plastic bag when all the stuff you want to keep extra dry is in the pack then put stuff like food bag, tarp and rain gear on top of the plastic bag

I've got the same bag. I use the sack it came with and I put it in a garbage bag. I also line the inside of my pack with a garbage bag, so far so good. I'm planning a 2013 SOBO. Good luck with the bag & your hike!

Shouldn't a stoic bag be made of, I don't know, horsehair or something?
