in the the news pictures i saw he looked great except his fingers were dark from frost bite,i hope he makes a great recovery:sun neo

I knew this guy. I have hiked with him several times but I have not talked to him since the accident. The funny thing is, three years ago a tree fell on him at Spence Field Shelter. This is the first New Years in 34 years he has not spent at Spence Field Shelter. He is definetely a great guy and full of stories. He just had some bad luck.
