I think "current" in the thread title would suggest that. I haven't yet found any which grab me. Still looking. ...

I like White Wolf:

and Mike & NOBODY:

Both were just short of NC this morning.

You may find our journal interesting. We are doing a relay hike of the AT as a fundraiser, so you will get many different voices.

On postholer there is a guy named Iceaxe. He did the PCT in 2009, the CDT last year and is doing the AT this year, the guy is really cranking out the miles:

Yeah, Iceaxe (http://postholer.com/matt%20edwards) is averaging 25 miles per day. I'd often wondered if traditional western hikers approached daily mileage on the AT the way they do on a trail such as the PCT.

I know the AT has monster elevation gains/losses and that many eastern hikers are content with 8-10 mile days. It always seemed that the AT was some horrendous, difficult trail with such institutionally low daily mileages you see in many journals.

Apparently, Matt is doing very well! Go Iceaxe!

I am liking Portrait's TJ.

I also like Qi Wiz. may not exactly be his name; he's the ti shovel maker. but he'll only be out another week or so.

First post here. I'm a newbie to hiking and hope to get more involved with it for a health benefit and enjoying the views.

I've really enjoyed Ron Grimm's journal. Concise and describes the AT very well. Nice inspiration for a possible thru hike in the future. Also, great photos!

I don't know how good it is, but I try awful hard.:sun
I had to get off for three weeks because my editor at Simon & Schuster sent me an edit for my next manuscript, but I'm headed back in a couple of days and will continue updating on my way north. Peek in if you get the chance.

I've been enjoying Yak and Stitch's current Journal (http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=333063). The should be over the 500 mile mark about now.

I like Cimmeron - don't know if I spelled it right.

He is a guy in his 80's and there is good humor in the stories.
