I was thinking about buying a big Agnes
lost ranger 15 degree synthetic bag. I've heard a lot of different things about them Any thoughts, has anyone had any luck with these. Thanks:sun

Never had one of those bags, but the specs make it look kinda heavy. Also, unless you plan on putting it in a compression sack, it'll take up gobs of room in your pack. 8" x 17.5" is a lot of internal volume.

My bag is 1 pound, 12 oz, rated at 25 degrees (but I'm a fat ass, so it's comfy for me in 20 degree weather) and is 5.8" x 11.5" in its stuff sack, before I compress it. Keep in mind I also use a nylon liner, it keeps me a bit warmer in really cold weather. I can also use it for really warm weather all by itself.

And as a disclaimer, I love Big Agnes stuff. My Fly Creek UL2 is my favorite tent.

Down is lighter and compresses much better. Big Agness makes good expensive gear.

My hubby loves his Big Agnes down bag. If you tend to be a bigger person, their bags work well.
