Since I have only had it up once, I can not say much.

I like the design. I consider it a solo, not a two person tent unless it is with a girlfriend.

I think I could put it up in the middle of the night, but I am glad I didn't try that on my first time.

It is a free standing tent, but would be easier to build it I used 2 stakes. It would have better ventilation if I used a couple more.

The tent is constructed out of several tent materials. I am not sure why.

The vestibule is big enough for boots and a pack, but I will probably keep the pack in the tent with me. But doesn't work well unless staked out.

The gear loft was designed by an idiot. It needs to be over the feed, not by the door. It needs to be wide enough to hold a jacket. It would be great if it was strong enough to hold a full pack. As is, it is just in the way and a waist of money.

The hub design on the poles is interesting. The spare part, splint makes me wonder how it will hold up.

I will post more after it has seen some use.

The gear loft of a tent is just a small fabric or mesh shelf/pocket designed to hold small things you want to find quickly , such as your headlight/torch,glasses, watch, medicines ,a map or a book.
Tents of that type usually have three or four types of fabric. A heavier floor fabric, a lighter one for the fly and the no-see-ums mesh (and or a breathable but not waterproof inner (tent) fabric.

I'm a little confused. Sorry - is this the SL2? The SL1 doesn't have the widening poles at the rear. The ridgepole goes straight down to the ground and you must peg out the right and left ends of the tent.

Yes , that is the 2. There is no vertical side seam in the 1 mesh either...

I just noticed my typo.

This is a SL2.
It doesn't appear that I can change the title.

Ha - no problem. I was just thinking that maybe BA made some sort of change for 2011.

No, just my stupidity. I was thinking about the SL1 thread.
