It seems a lot of people got registered on WB and have been posting free cams and websites to buy stuff, not nec involved with hiking. Hope these people are banned soon enough.

Some spam (gold, sneakers, watches, ipods, etc) gets through from time to time. Any member can report a thread for spam by clicking the alert icon. One of the mods for that forum, or admin, will remove the thread.

There's some but it's nowhere as rampant as you suggest; I wouldn't say "...a lot of poeple..."
When the blatant instances occur, the mods act pretty quickly to respond to reports and shut it down.

That has been my experience. If you report a spam message, the moderators act very quickly to remove it. THANKS and blessings to the mods for this!!!
