So I was looking into trail days and notice a ton of places to stay and also some camping sites close by. I just checked 2 of the camping sites for that weekend and everything seems booked up. Just curious on good places to stay (camping, hotel, motel, Im easy) Never been and curious as to what to expect.

I've always stayed in motels, most years in Abingdon and once in Chilhowie. The latter location was pretty cheap.
Yeah. Every place in Damascus probably books a year in advance. So you can either stay in a nearby town like Abingdon or sleep with the hikers on the outskirts of town.
There's a pretty cool trail that runs right through town and goes north and south a fur piece. Camp anywhere along that.
