How far past (south) of the Allentown shelter is Tri-County? Is it marked? Is there anything of significance to see there? The other day I walked about a mile beyond the shelter and don't know if I got there or not.

Thanks!

not worth going to see. short climb up a bunch of rocks to a pillar marking the corner. may be an ok view in the winter when all the leaves are down and the brush isnt grown in too badly.

yup, like i said. now try and picture it with leaves on all those trees!

no wonder why thru hikers stop bothering with the side trails after awhile. too bad, because some of them are actully worth seeing. and others are piles of rocks with a pointless marker at the top.
