I blatently stole the idea of Tater Tuesday from Sarah of Trail Cooking (with her blessing.) Everyone loves taters, right?
Po-ta-toes. Boil 'em. Mash 'em. Stick 'em in a stew. Po-ta-toes!

1/2 cup butter or cheese flavored mashed potatoes
1/4cup broccoli cheddar soup mix
2 tablespoons dried broccoli
1 cheddar cheese stick
At home: combine the potatoes, soup mix and broccoli in a zip locking freezer bag.
In camp: add a generous 1 cup of hot water to the mix. Stir well. Serve topped with cheese.
Variation: Add bacon bits.

I like that idea! Spinach would work in place of the broccoli as well. :)

you can replace the mash potatoes with instant grits too.
looks like a good meal. To bad Lipton did away with the broccoli and cheese cup of soup mix. I use to add that to mashed potatoes all the time.
Some folks may like this others won't but I add smoked oysters to mashed potatoes. If the oysters are in the small tim it will burn quickly due to all of the oil in the can.

I use Bear Creek (http://www.amazon.com/Bear-Creek-Country-Kitchens-Broccoli/dp/B000H25WMW/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1299015157&sr=8-6)

+ 1 on the Bear Creek mixes.
I am stuffed from my late lunch and still had my mouth watering at the pic of soup and cheese. Looks great.

That looks excellent!! I tend to think about dinner all day when hiking. I could see tossing in a foil packet of cooked chicken...mmmmmmm.

Go with the spinach, swap out the cheddar for mozzarella and use pepperoni slices.
That looks good, as well as the mods for it.
