So out of those who hiked in 2010, how did the readjustment to "normal" society go?
Any of you still finding it difficult to deal with everyday life?
Have an itch for constant motion once again?
Fell claustrophobic in your own home?
OR
Is life better than ever?:sun
Do you feel like you appreciate things more so than before your hike?
Is life less stressful?
OR
Are you still moving?
Still living out of your pack?
Have you decided that the transient life is the life for you?:banana

Hi Olive Oil! This is Snail. We didn't meet on the trail as I was quite far behind you but I did see your entries in the registers. I am heading back to Springer in a few days to do it all again! Here's to life on the trail!!

so OliveOil... "how YOU doin"? tell us about your reentry.

I find it interesting to see how thru's readjust to the concrete jungle. My section hike partner decided to thru in 07. When he came back to regular life, he got a regular j.o.b., and eventually moved up to VP. He now longs to be back on the trail,, and has a long term plan of moving closer to the trail w/ his wife, and thru'ing again.

I hope to thru one day, but that will probably be in retirement. My wife and I started late as parents, so I'll be 60+ before I could step away from full time employment for 6 months. I so wish I could have discovered the trail in my early 20's before life's responsibilities took over. I would have really enjoyed a thru during my early days.

Hey Olive Oil, its been a long time. I can't find a real reason at all, to be a part of getting back to it. I mean, I'm probably getting back out there.

I'm about to graduate college with a Chemistry degree, and my Veteran's Disability just got approved. I'll be spending this year on the AT, when I graduate, and another thru in 2017 is planned. I'll be moving to Washington after, then hiking the PCT in 2018. I don't plan on settling down any time soon, now that my finances are taken care of for the next few years.
