View Full Version : Trying to figure Out who's on the trail? and doing a school project all at once...
Hi there! My name is Brian Brown I am an Outdoor Education and Recreation student at Ohio University. I am working on a survey for a class and I was wondering if you would like to take the survey or forward it to friends. The purpose of the survey is to find out who is hiking the AT as well as why or why not people hike the trail. The survey is short and should only take 30 minutes or less to complete. Also the survey is not intended to be published or used for anything other than a class presentation.

FYI, 30 minutes is not a short survey.
OK, I did the survey. FYI to other folks, it takes far less time than 30 minutes. Less than 10 for sure if you type normal speed. Less than 5 if you type fast.

Well, the time actually depends on the time you put into the answers. . . he asked for some longer answers if you would care to give them, and so I did that. Took me a while - I'm a "writer" so I wrote. Hazard of an English major, too.

Really cool qualitative questions! Can you let us know the general themes of what you find?
Also, you might consider creating a consent and debriefing form to go with your questionnaire for more practice with the logistical side of research, including ethics ;)
