View Full Version : Warm Weather Down South could be Good News for NOBO'S
I was driving over New Found Gap in the middle of February, there was not as much snow as I thought there would be. It was much colder in December when I was hiking thru. Living in Nashville I can tell you most of Tennessee has been mild for the last couple of weeks. Looks like the Trend will continue.
Good Luck March NOBO's

here in Texas, I think winter is all but over. Looking at the weather forcasts for Blood Mountain, I think March is starting out nicely.. Good luck to those who are starting out next week.

Of course this 60 degree weather could be "bad" for thru-hikers starting in the next week or so if they see the forecast, assume winter is over, and pack as if 60 degrees is gonna be the norm. It (almost certainly) won't be.
