I have been looking at/for eVENT lined boots for a while now and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them yet. It is hard for me to find footwear that feels good due to a high arch, D wide foot, and a bump in my heel. Also I need to see a doctor because of a mild case of planter fasciitis.

The only companies that I know make them are:

http://www.spyderfootwear.com/ (http://www.spyderfootwear.com/) (this is a nice looking boot, I wonder if it would fit my feet)

http://www.hi-tec.com/indexfl.html (http://www.hi-tec.com/indexfl.html) (I hear they are only an average boot but these new eVENT products should be better or so I have heard)

Hi I have the Kayland Contact 2500 mountaineering boot w/ e-vent. These are my cold/wet stompers. after a year's heavy use they are still completely waterproof and a joy to wear. Kayland makes a helluva boot. The contact 1700s are highly rated but I needed the 2500's more rigid sole for crampon use. When my Lowa lows wear out I'll probably buy the 1700's for regular trekking. I took the 'ultralight highway' down to tennis shoes and New Balance runners, but I'm a lot happier with a boot around my foot. C
