Perhaps now that we have a GET sub-forum under Other Trails it might be helpful to use it to consolidate threads on trails that are GET components, such as PA Mid State Trail, Cumberland Trail, Alabama Pinhoti Trail, etc.

Sounds like a good idea. It looks like you can set up a further level of forum like the Long Trail forum.

GET? Grand Enchantment Trail- runs 700 miles from Phoenix to Albuquerque. If there is a forum under this trails name, even if coincidently, there could be confusion. What is the other GET? Check out http://www.simblissity.net/get/ to look into this awesome new trail. Or should I say route? It's definitely on my radar to do someday. I've done about 120 miles of it already.
Having said that, I'm heading over to the whiteblaze GET forum and finding what this jive is all about. :D

I see. Thanks. Now the only question is will Whiteblaze.net explode into a 15 page long argument of which is the "real" GET :) East/ West thing all over again. Maybe the merits of leave no trace and trail magic while hiking with dogs, and worrying about bears while being a solo LBGT and toting an ultralight bible which conceals a gun should be should somehow be incorporated into this thread. ;)
Thanks for introducing me to a new trail, and now making me a slave to the idea of now having to also hike it.
