I have one, and have used it 3 times just testing at home. Light and simple and works as well as any alcohol stove I've seen. I wonder about the wicking on the heiney pot as I slide this in and out of the ziplock container. It'd be easy to fix if the silicon tape came off or something. It hasn't shown any hint that this would happen, just makes me wonder.

The stove itself is very hot and does it's job well. The size, weight and all what you get with this is what caught my interest. It's a nice little stove.

All that being said, I stll prefer my jetboil and anxiously await the Sol Ti model coming out this Spring. Just my preference and nothing against the batch stove.

I would look into Trail Designs Caldera Keg systems. Half the weight of the Batch with all the same stuff. I have the Keg-H system and love it

Basically, the Whitebox stove. I have one. It works O.K. I switched to one of zelph's super venom stoves. I will boil water with about half the fuel used by the Whitebox.

i have a sp700, ditched the stock lid. got a pcs jetboil lid on it now. insulated handles. homemade starlyte type stove, home made windscreen. i am at 8 ounces with that set up so if i were to get one it would not really be for weight issues. i dont know why but i just really like the batch stove how it had that screw together case.
