Going to hike from Georgia to Maine next March?

hello I plan on taking off a semester of college to hike the AT all the way through. I know I will make it i just don't quit. I love hiking and have been wanting to hike this trail for years. Right now I have a osprey krestel 68 backpack and a swiss 10 degree sleeping bag. I plan on getting a one person tent some light weight pots and survival gear/things i really need. I really don't know what im doing this is my first real long hike. please give pointers

You'll easily be able to do it for under $5K, especially considering it sounds like you already have some of your gear.
