Any suggestion in the northen virginia/DC metropolitan area where I can buy bulk freeze dried or dehydrated veggies?

I want to make some FBC meals for myself for the CDT this year.

Chains or small stores, i'm not really picky.

Thanks in advance.

There's a HUGE Whole Foods in Fairfax, just off the Fairfax Parkway. There's also a really nice REI nearby.

That harmony house link should be:
http://www.harmonyhousefoods.com/ This looks like the best bet.

The Whole Foods I go to doesn't have much freeze dried or dehydrated stuff, but is excellent for bulk grains, beans, cereals and does have things like dried apricots. Some of the ethnic stores here have better deals on these.

Really? The one in Springfield, a much smaller store, has lots of the Just Tomatoes products. I would think that the Fairfax store would as well.

There is a Whole Foods store in Vienna, in the angle between Park Street and Maple Avenue, and darn near across Park from the headquarters of the PATC. One word of caution: If you use Park Street be aware that is a notorious speed trap coming from Cedar Lane. Obey the speed limits and be sure you come to a full stop at the stop signs. Take it from one who knows.

The store out in Fairfax is the one where chef Emeril LaGasse, the Fall River Cajun, films his shows.

Whole Foods hides the Just Tomatoes products - so look carefully for them! They are usually not where you would expect to find them.

Having said that...Harmony House Foods is IMO a good choice.
