Starting I hope in ten days to two weeks and still really only have my trusty red ledge for outer layer and am feeling less than confident it's enough. What considering the weather pattern would you recommend for upper and lowers?

Even in cold rain I find a rain shell and rain pants over very light base layers to be plenty while actually hiking. Once in camp I want some warmer (and drier) layers.

Where will you be hiking? A thru-hike starting in GA?

I use a Marmot PreCip jacket and ULA Rain Skirt. See you in 10 days :banana
