can some one tell me, if it is possible to get batterys of the typ: CR123A on the trail?
I bought some in Damascus. There is a drug store (not a chain - sorry, I don't recall the name)just off the main drag - opposite the Dollar General - and on the same side of the street as Mt. Rogers Outfitters. They had lots and knew we hikers need them. My water purification - MSR Miox - uses them. Good miles!

I have a MIOX, as well. They're available, but not in every store. Camera supply, some drug stores, the rare grocery. As Deucalion suggested, probably a good idea to mail them ahead.
