Now that Christmas is over, several good winter gear/clothing deals are popping up. I'd like this thread to be an alert for sales that come up through late winter. Here's an example that was posted on another thread:

Well, I was happy to just find a Gregory Z pack for $134 shipped, no tax. Just hit submit on the order page. :)That was for size small, the larger sizes were $149. I was thinking of going the eBay route, but decided for my first real pack I picked out, I wanted brand spackin' new! http://shop.store.yahoo.com/fulfillmentadventures/gregoryzpack.html

Not kick-butt but the best deal I found around in the color and size I wanted. (Please dont share if ya have a better deal on one, ok? lol!)

Golite products are typically on clearance this time of year at www.northernmountain.com (http://www.northernmountain.com). Picked up a women's 6 month night parka for my wife for $49.00. A couple of their packs are on sale also.

That's MORE than a good price. I got mine while working at an outfitter (via ProDeal) and it was $36. The DriClime is a decent garment but I'm not sure it's worth anything close to it's list price. So, $50 to the general public is a good deal.

I'm watching for the Spring sell-off of down sleeping bags. Usually starts in February/March.

Bob Smith's Wilderness Warehouse here in Boston had a 15% off sale on Sleeping bags 2 weeks ago. I don't know if it's still going on but I got a Western Mountain Alpinist for a good price.

Slogger,

I seen a Sub Kilo and a Sub Kilo Plus marked way down at our local REI store as part of their winter sale. The 20 degree model was $80 and the 0 degree one was $90 after the 50% discount.

Good Luck,

Mark
