So I finally got all of my gear together and spent several hours last night trying to stuff everything into my GoLite Jam to no avail. I weeded through my gear two or three times trying to get rid of certain 'unnecessary' items. Finally I fit it all in the pack and lifted it onto my back. OUCH! Without the internal frames that I'm used to the Jam seemed like it just wasn't going to work out for this trip. To make a long story short I broke down and purchased a Mountain Hardwear Kanza 55. Is anyone familiar with this pack. It gives me about 300 cubic inches of extra pack space but also seems like it offers more in the way of external loops and straps for storage. I hadn't been planning on carrying gear on the outside of the pack but as long as it rides comfortably I'm okay with it.

Thanks for the info.
