I bought some Tyvec to use as footprints for my two Kelty Grand Mesa 2 tents. May sound a little strange. But I wanted to sew some "boarders" around the edges (I guess in hopes of keeping it from tearing and to make it look neater). Also, I may want to sew some angles and different things to fool around with some tarp making. Anyone every tried sewing Tyvec (Sowing Maching)...Any advice?

Yes, you can sew this stuff. Helps if you wash it or wet it down first because it's gets softer. Don't put it in the dryer though.

Didn't know there was Tyvec tape...I have been told to wash it and it would make it more pliable (sp?)...Less noisy to I hope...

Tyvek is very easy and cheap to glue. PVA (Elmer's glue) is all you need.
