was reading the reviews, concerned with room around the chest area. i am 5'11'' right at 200lb. anyone close to my size that has this bag

Your best bet is to go to an REI store and try it on.
If you can't do that, look at the specs: http://www.rei.com/product/780903
Shoulder girth is 57" (i.e., 57" around the inside of the bag at your shoulders)
Hip girth is 53".
This seems a little tight.
You can check it out by taking a bed sheet, use pins to make a tube, 57" around for your shoulders and 53" around at hip; try it on and see if it seems roomy enough.
My sleeping bag is about the same size and I'm smaller than you (5'8" 170lb); it's comfortable for me, but is too tight to wear a down jacket inside.

I've had this bag since 2002. I am 6' and 180 and have no problem with room. The bag is well made and packs very small. But, it is not a 20 degree bag by any means. I get cold in it when it drops below freezing even with all clothes on. If you don't expect regular freezing temps it's a great bag.
