What place along the trail has the best food? What about burgers & all other things hikers crave?
West Hartford General Store in Vermont. Had an 18" sub on french bread, camped at the sign company a few doors down, then had the Full Belly breakfast in the morning. Two eggs, two slices of bacon, two sausage links, home fries that covered almost a whole plate, two pancakes and toast. Nice people too.
I think the place was called Fatties diner in Damascus? They had some crazy huge eating challenge with like a 5lb burger or something. Been awhile. I wonder if anyone ever finished it?

Whistle Stop Cafe in Vermont, order the Works! Then there's the breakfast at Mountain Harbor Hostel.
