Next Tuesday,4-12,a friend and I are going on a 4 nite trip through Rocky Fork.We will start at USFS Horsecreek Campground about 10am.The plan is to hike up to the forest road and camp at a spring on 1st nite,about 7 miles.Day 2 we will try to hike/find the 7 acre lake near the 4000ft elev. and camp there.Day 3 we will then hike downhill into the Rocky Fork drainage and camp near the site of a 1788 Indian battle site.Depending on how it goes day 4 we will follow RF creek back up to the top and follow the road to the AT @ Big Butt.If time allows we might even make it down to Jerry's Cabin shelter.Should be an easy trip ,if anyone wants to join this expedition meet at Horsecreek campground Tue AM.I'll be taking GPS&map.I've met more hikers in 1 day on the AT than I have in RF in 15 years:eek:.....Stop yakking & start trakkin'....:sun
