Coffee, hot chocolate or tea? You've only got so much room in your pack so when it comes to libations what's your druthers?
Scotch, bourbon, aged rum... in that order.
Tea or coffee, depending on the trip. Short trips I go with coffee. Long trips I go with tea.

Bourbon....Bookers if available. Coffee.....Sumatran, dark roasted.:banana
Rum for me.....I'm a fan of Flor de Cana 12 yr old. Coffee in the morning is good, too
Rhum Barbencourt, Meyer's dark if the former isn't available.
I'd happily pay dearly for a bottle of Lemon Hart 151.

That's what mail drops are for...to get around all the local lack of favorites.
And also why I use so many mail drops....I ain't hitching out of a dry town just to fill my flask. Or explaining to some damn Yankee why I need Luziane tea to make my sweet tea.

I like the moonshine. You get more bang for your buck and it can double as stove fuel.

Patty's Irish whiskey, a good burbon and coffee. Moonshine is good if the person making it doesn't use a ton of extra sugar to pad his profits you lose the taste of the grain when they do that.
Old Monk rum and/or red wine

Instant coffee in the morning. I even make it up cold during the hot months when I don't carry a stove. Gatorade in the warmer months I mix it up a little better that 1/2 strength. Usually Black Velvet for evenings It's cheap and goes down easy and comes in a plastic rectangular bottle that is light and fits in a pack easy. I some times transfer scotch or spiced rum in to an old BV bottle. I have noticed a lot of liquors coming in plastic bottles now including Jim Beam. If I know there will be enough to share it with I will also take the bladder out of boxed wine and carry that.

Maker's Mark. Hiking can be tough, so it's nice to have a small luxury after supper. Good bourbon makes for a good evening.

For me it's strong, black coffee in the morning - 2 bags steeped for a good long time. In the evening, Woodford Reserve. Maybe a spot o' tea or cider just before hitting the bag. Though if I could find a little blackberry wine, that does sound good.

Bourbon is just moonshine aged in charred oak barrels.

As far as I'm concerned, I would rather go without a stove or sleeping bag than miss my "Apple Pie" or coffee!

Bailey's Irish Cream in coffee and hot chocolate, and one platypus of red wine to go with the dark chocolate.
Jack Daniels, Makers Mark, both good for watchin' the sun go down.
I prefer nalgene loaded with Crown Royal for a nightcap!
Straight vodka, usually Sobieski or Svedka.
Cannot beat Yemeni coffee.

Salada tea in the morning...I don't drink on the trail but if I was to, it would be Jezynowka Blackberry Brandy.
While on the trail? Coffee in the morning, hot chocolate sometimes, blackberry brandy whenever. In towns - more coffee, and hard cider.
Rum 151 proof - i'm a wine guy but
For a week in the woods a pint of rum

At last a sensible reply. I like good wine, good beer, and good bourbon. But on the trail for more than a day or so, I believe in concentration. Nothing less than 100 proof -- and 150 proof if i can find it.

One Starbucks Via mixed with one envelope of hot chocolate in the AM. Can't figure out a way to keep my bourbon slush frozen while hiking, so probably no alcohol.

Morning: Either Starbucks Via or black tea. Evening: Knob Creek, 2 oz, neat. Then Everclear, 2 oz, with Crystal Lite. Makes my feet feel better.
FYI: I have learned that shipping liquor in the mail is illegal. Seems I lost a small wager on the outcome of the last Super Bowl, and the bet was a bomber bottle of local good beer. I carefully boxed up my payment to my friend in the midwest, and he received the box with the attached note. Surprisingly, the bottle was repackaged just as carefully as I had packed it.
Bourbon is just moonshine aged in charred oak barrels.
you have no idea what you're talking about. they are both liquor made from a distallation process, and they can both be put in charred oak barrels. other than that, apples and oranges.

You can always use UPS ground. A couple more bucks, but they will ship liquid. Friend who is a driver told me to label it "gourmet olive oil" or something similar so it doesn't come up missing.
Have done it many times

Prefer a burbon to listed, BUT I like to carry blackberry brandy sometimes when I hike in the winter, my dad used to tell me stories about him backpacking w/ bottles of that stuff, just brings back good memories
