Hold on to that. Take time to mourn her passing but take time to celebrate her life too. Sounds like she raised some great kids. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss Crumb. I lost my Dad in '83 and my Mom in '91. Both were relatively young (in their 50's). Keep their memories in your thoughts and heart.

thankyou for all the kind words and thoughts, my mother donated her body to science and plans are for me to recieve the ashes, she thought it was silly at first. but in a farewell letter she ask to to sprinkle her ashes in the great outdoors where ever i seemed fit, somewhere that i loved. she followed my hikes closely and loved sharing my adventures. i will miss her forever. i love you mom

So sorry for the loss of your mom.

Each person we meet fills us in some way, even if we only shelter with them for a night on the trail. Every loss is a reminder to cherish our time with our loved ones and to treasure every person touching our lives.

Let me throw this out because sometimes it helps. I don't mean to offend in any way.
For those of us christians who believe in eternal life, no more suffering and no more pain. Then each death should be a celebration. That person(your Mom) just won the lottery. Now the rules state she can't share her winnings with you. You have to wait until you win. So don't be sad for her she is healed in a new body. I understand you are sad because you miss her but would you rather she didn't have an end to the suffering on this earth.

My oldest son has a terminal illness and is 21 now and won't see 30. So I have spend a long time thinking and praying on this subject. So rejoice for her, her journey is done, and she is waiting in heaven.

CrumbSnatcher,
I'm very sorry for your lost. I lost my dad two years ago to lung cancer. I catch myself driving out and just hanging out with him, not so much now as I did right after he passed, but i still go and check on his site. I know it sounds crazy but, everyone deal's with there lost different and it's normal how your feeling right now. maybe go hangout with a love one or have coffee with a best friend. I know word's can help the hurt but it gets better. The good book states we are here temp.and your mom just started living life. Hang in there sending prayers.HS

thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers
i always joked about my mom riding her powered wheelchair over to my house to see me. well today just for ****s and giggles, i did just that, i rode the chair 5 miles or so to my house. alot of time to think about dear old mom, i hope she got a good laugh out of it! at corners waiting for lights, people would look at me like i escaped from the nut house or something, i suppose the cookies and all didn't help. love ya mom, tell dad hello for me :)
