I saw one place - http://www.boundarywaterscatalog.com/browse.cfm/4,8623.html

Claim this is universal ... Can anyone back that up, Will this work with thermarest or big agnes?

at 2.2oz i'm willin to give it a try, i HATE blowing my large pad up at the end of the day ... and i can't sleep on anything other than the large neoair ... my brother who comes with me often uses a big agnes for now ... but the point is, did nemo design this to function with other brands pads ?

Wow. You could buy 10 Instaflators for the cost of that thing.

While thats true, what if you're stuck in a heavy rain situation and need to inflate your pad within the confines of your tent ... I'd rather sit inside and quickly use a hand pump, cost aside ... stick's got a nice review on youtube about the instaflator ... great product, no doubt ... weighs 1.7oz vs the nemo pump at 2.2oz .. pick your poison .. i posted to see if anyone as used one as some searches resulted in nothing.

Ok, i'm gonna post this after viewing it online about the instaflator being used within the tent .... it can be done apparently so that shouldn't be a concern of mine really ... wonder if stick or anyone's used it within a tent ... still, i'd love to hear about the pump too ...

Hi.

Try this instead: http://www.campsaver.com/Mini-Pump?gclid=CN__nMKmpagCFQ12gwod_yFPHw

Read they were universal and just picked one up for use with my NeoAir pad and it works like a charm. Weighs exactly 2oz with stuff sack, inflates my Large NeoAir (25x77) in about a minute. Totally happy.

Cheers!

Exped also has a slightly heavier pump that doubles as a pillow. Two birds with one stone.

I've got doubts about using the Instaflator in a tent. But if I'm stuck in a tent in the rain, what else do I have to do?

Can't argue with that ... I'm leaning more an more towards the instaflator ... think i'd rather roll air into the pad than stand an pump or kneel an hand pump ... at $3.99 i think i'll give it a try and see what happens. If i like it, WINNING! ... If i don't, i see the other options.

You could use your mouth and lungs...

That is what I was trying to imply, although poorly. Because once I get the mattress blown up, all I would have to do is sit around and wish I had your collection of cuben gear.
