I wasn't sure where to post this so I chose "general."
I am running a 9K with the "Run to Home Base" program on May 22nd to raise funds for veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many soldiers come home with traumatic brain injury and/or combat stress disorders.
I have a really good friend, probably the reason I kept hiking when I otherwise would have quit, who suffers from this.:( My husband and I used to go on his Boy Scout trips so they would have a good adult-scout ratio since not enough parents would go. He no longer is able to hike. He can barely get out to the store (3 trips, very short, in the year + he has been home). I am running for him and others like him. I am running for Becky, Chris, Courtney and Dana (my hiking buddy).
I need to raise $1000 total for this run. Please help me with just $5 or $10. All donations are tax-deductible.
