I had a small point and shoot camera, 10x zoom and 12.1 megapixels. It has gone on to the after life. I love carrying my camera in my cargo pocket. Do you have any recommendations?

I really want something that is compact and can fit easily in a cargo pocket. Also, it need to at least meet the specs above. I'd prefer to stay under 250$.

Thanks for the help!

I just got a Sony TX5. Weatherproof and right at your budget of $250. 10 Megapixels. So far I love it!

I use the Canon Powershot 780i Digital Elph... awesome little camera. Takes a beating! Should be in your price range.

The Panasonic waterproof p+s camera is very nice. Compact, good pix, good trail camera.

I recently got an olympus stylus tough 6020. Waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, dustproof. It's the older version of the new 610, so significantly cheaper.

Only qualm I have is it's heavy. 6.4oz for the camera and 3.75 for the charger, cable, and spare battery.

NOT the Olympus Stylus Tough series.

While the price falls in the range you stated, my personal experience has been less than stellar. The only thing that has been good about the 6020 I bought back in December has been the warranty. Battery life sucks, pictures aren't that great compared to other cameras I have used and after about 100 pics it stopped charging and the main board had to be replaced under warranty.

Maybe my last Kodak was just too good to me - but I sure did expect more than I got.

I was also wondering about this. How about a panoramic digital camera too?
