Rain has been crazy. Roads are flooded all over. Not a good outlook so far.

Vermont's Long Trail: A FootBath in the Wilderness!

The article makes a good point about walking THROUGH the puddles to prevent further erosion.

Got blocked in by flooded roads in Johnson yesterday. Stuck on the wrong side of everything and had to drive over 30 miles to get to my house that was less than 6 miles away.

Can't imagine what the trails look like.

Thinking about going out for 3 days starting tomorrow, but in the southernmost part of the trail. Sounds like you guys have been getting pounded up there...

Wettest April on record and there's more rain forecast tonight. This is the highest I've ever seen the Lamoille. It flooded in places I never knew it could.

Looks like you got the weather that we did last year. The Pawtuxet River made several major bridges uncrossable. The closest one to me on Elmwood was under 2' of water at the highest part of the roadway along with about 200 yards or so of the road on either side.

If you don't like the weather in the mountains, just wait a few short minutes and it will change.

It's not just the mountains in VT, is the whole state. :)

Goes from snowing to 85 in less than a week. Or from freezing to 70 overnight. For example, on Saturday we had a few fresh inches of snow, yesterday/today were unbearably hot, 85 ish but with random thunderstorms.

Thunder snow is definitely awesome though, to sit in a warm comfy building and watch the lightning while it goes from snow to sleet to hail and back to snow again.

Had almost a week of sunny dry weather, but it's been raining for the past 3 days and supposed continue thru the weekend. Good for flowers. Bad for hiking and fishing.

Better the flowers than the house! Lots of homes under water still. :(

Was just in Waterbury this past weekend for WFA class, it rained almost the whole time!
