Got my first GPS, fooling around with it now. Here's my question:

I'm using the GPS in conjunction with paper maps. Certain points on these maps are marked with a co-ordinate in a format like "N 31.5248 W 108.3061".

My problem is that the GPS (Garmin Etrex Vista HCX) only allows you to enter a coordinate in a format like "N 35*13.013 W 111*38.427". (Imagine that the asterisk is a 'degrees' symbol.)

SO, how do I go about entering a coordinate from the map into my GPS?
