Starting From Damascus, VA During Trail Days??

Hey All, I'm going to be going down for Trail Days and then hiking from there north to Vermont. I'm just wondering if there are others on here with a similar plan or who will be in passing through Damascus on their way north at that time.

A friend who's done long sections before said that I'd be alone most of the time as I pass through PA, but I would think I'd be in the thick of things. Am I mistaken or is he?

You should be in the midst of alot of thru hikers. I can't imagine that you would be alone.
