I just wanted to discuss the Cohuttas and Big Frog area with anyone knowledgeable as I'm planning a next trip into them soon.
water water everywhere. i've been down the conasauga river trail a couple of times. i wouldn't recomend it just after a thunderstorm.

I dont know if you would call me an 'expert', but I have hiked all the trails in the Cahuttas. Yes, lots of water crossings. Every trail with the name 'River' or 'Creek' means that you will get your feet wet. All others are going up and over ridgelines. Some are pretty steep. But it is great scenery. And some great fishing, if you want to carry a pole. :)

I froze my butt off on the peak of Big Frog in February with two others. I'm not sure why we thought that would be a good idea. In retrospect it was fun.
