A quater mile from Davenport gap, one of the lens from my glasses fell out and is now lost forever. So, I have spent the last 10 days or so seeing the world (quite) a bit out of focus. But today, thanks to 10 K's wife Marie, I have new glasses and can once again see the world in focus. :banana
Now thats the kind of trail magic which really makes this trail special. Many, many thanks to 10 K and Marie for making the rest of my hike much more enjoyable.

Thank goodness you didn't have to complete your hike wearing an eye patch and a pirates hat. Although I'm certain you would have looked really cool.

One of my worst nightmares is breaking my glasses on the trail. . . I'd have to just sit down and wait for someone to come and guide me out of the woods. ; - 0

Trailweaver, before I do hikes of any distance, I'm going to have to get an extra pair and keep them in my pack. I'm completely hopeless without them, but I don't want to be helpless!
