From the ATC FB page, looks like flooding has closed the bridge crossing the Potomac at HF and there is no good way to walk around. Sorry if this has been posted already, I saw no other posts in a breif sesarch

I did a yo-yo of MD starting Monday with intent to pass thru HPV.
This morning I was near canal path turnoff at 10 (started from delightful Ed Garvey shelter, heading south this AM.

Talked to folks at ATC and they are running shuttles starting at 11. If you want a lift, get on the waiting list quickly.

As for me, I met a trail angel at the minimart
on keep tryst road. He took me s back way to avoid the 340 crossing that
Is closed to peds due to construction. So you might try backtracking over the eastern 240 crossing and hitching from there to the 67 or southerost 240 crossing. The one just over Potomac is the one with no ped access, they were quite strict even when I begged for help.

Foot bridge reopened today at 11 as flood stage waters receeded much more quickly than expected. Will be muddy though.
