Glasgow RiverFest 2011 has asked me to post this announcement and URL for the upcoming event:

Hikers are welcome and can use the hikers' shelter, or other nearby spots to camp, and will be welcome additions to the parade. There are numerous river activities to enjoy, and a carnival.
