Anyone know a good place to get portable honey packets? Or a good way to pack honey without taking the whole jar, haha!

I'm going on a 3 day trip tomorrow and would love to have some honey with me. Putting it in a ziploc sounds messy.

Thanks!

Popeye's Chicken! They hand out individual honey packets for the biscuits. If you don't have one near, find a little plastic squeeze bottle, then put it in a baggie to catch the inevitable drips.

I love honey in my coffee....

KFC has honey packets too.

Look again... KFC has "Honey Sauce" that contains little to no actual honey. It's actually corn syrup. Starbucks is a good source of pure honey packets as are a lot of "local" bakery/coffee shops. Look near the coffee/tea condiments. Of course, www.minimus.biz is always a great source as well.

Thanks for setting me straight. It's been awhile since I've gotten any KFC. Fried chicken isn't often allowed on my diet any more. :(

a honeybear emptyed to the amont you want is fun, safe, and easy, light, right and tight, neat, cheap and swell, hard to beat, best and good enough. if your scared of the spout, replace it. if you want dripless pouring, learn that. its easy. all in the wrist. shock can be helped with a spoonful of honey. folks dont remember that old way alot. tru. kinda like we use jello for hypothermia but its the calming effect of the honey combined with the mental clarity boost from the simple sugars already broken down by the bees bodys that does it.

squeese the excess air out and cap. this makes it much flatter and wastes less space . wont crack in cold to a point. stays flat forever untill opened. looks good at mealtimes. can be usefull gear when empty for extra water or ****ing. no filter, self filtered.

honey packets are great, you can open them and suck the honey out as you hike. It will give you a good energy boost much as a sports drink would. But the energy is released slowly into your body for longer periods of increased energy over other sugary sports drinks.

I like a little honey anytime on the trail. Chick-fa-lay has great little packages.

Try this---below. It's an 8 oz nalgene container with screw on cap and will keep honey from getting too messy if placed in a ziploc. I've tried all the different choices to store honey on a trip---nothing really works well and the bear-shaped things do leak around the screw cap. The nalgene seals better and stays tighter. The only draw back is in the dead of winter when the honey is rock solid---I use my toothbrush handle or a tent stake to get the honey out.

Yeah, but I am particular about my honey and like the product below. I can pull it out of the jar at home and fill up my 8oz nalgene and I've got a good supply of tasty honey.

Cracker Barrel has real honey AND real butter. For a short trip where I don't need much I appropriate it there.
